Literature Text

Fragmented rainbows lay across the detailed oak wooden floor and reflected off its polished surface against the long pews. Slices of a depiction of his Lord Christ patterned the floor as the moons strange pearlescent white glow burnt through the mosaic glass stretches of roof. A tall marble statue of an angel smiling heavenly down upon the mass stood surrounded by flowers and in front of his feet knelt a man in black. His quiet murmuring to the heavens was pleading in tone, but it's message in a voice only the angel and Lord could hear, and cut through the silence.
As he continued with his prayer a strange apparition appeared. A small globe of light hung in the air, slowly crying out strange tears and giving off a blue mist. Gradually the globe grew, longer, taller, it's tears breaking off into limbs, until it had a almost humanoid appearance. The man took no notice of the seemingly heavenly ghost as suddenly the light broke out and standing in its place was another man. His brightly dyed blue hair stood out in the soft tones of his surroundings, his multiple piercings sparkled like sharp bullets, his menacing looking clothes shone out against the warm beauty he was in.
"And may the world stay in peace and all that bull!" He said angrily, "Come on Raven, you've gotta take the wheel sometime… It gets me tired going all night. You were supposed to take the moon shift."
"May the world live in peace. Amen." Raven stood up and blankly looked at his companion to fish dead eyes, "I was in prayer Vulture."
"But you never take the wheel. Always the same stupid response 'I was in prayer'. Bullshit." Vulture copied Ravens voice without much success.
"Ah come on now boys~" A young man's lazy and laid back voice echoed through the room they were in, "Don't fight too much." Behind one of the pews the other two saw a man with messy grey hair spilling out behind his plain moss green scarf slowly rise out from behind a pew.
"Pidgeon! Don't just bloody appear like that!" Vulture cried out.
"Ah why not Vulture?" Pidgeon laughed, "I was just sleeping here for a moment!"
Swearing Vulture turned and heavily kicked a pew, "You. Are. Annoying."
"Ahh~ Vulture's so cruel to me!" Pidgeon cried out, clutching his chest in a hug.
Raven stretched his arms wide with a yawn, reaching his long limbs out, "So who is in the cockpit now?" He asked.
"Owl's in now." Vulture said as he threw himself down onto one of the pews, his large body loudly impacting with the wood.
Giving him a quick glare Raven spoke, "Try not to break the church."
"Ah it won't break!" Vulture stretched out as well, "Do you get why that smart arse wants to be in for those hours?"
"He wants to read now. He asked Eagle to buy some new books for when he was in the next time." Pidgeon said, "Usually it's my turn now, but he asked me to switch with 'im." He yawned loudly.
Vulture rose slightly to study Pidgeon for a moment, "So you're in during the day then?" He asked him, cautious of what the answer may be.
"'pparently so… When is Owl usually in? I forgot…"
"Owl's usually in when Avi has school. An if there's ever any tests before or after hours he pop's in." Raven replied as he walked away, "Have any of you seen Jehova?"
"He's cleansing the others." Vulture said, for once his tone sounding soft at the mentioning of their tutor and caregiver.
"Oooh the dungeon isn't being watched too much?" Pidgeon said loftily, "I might go to visit our darling Avi~" He chuckled and stood up to lazily slouch away.
"I'll go tell Eagle to watch over Pidgeon." Raven said as he too walked away, though in the different direction to his grey friend. Vulture laid down again, relaxing in the silence.
I realised I haven't uploaded anything in a while, so this is something I've been working on for school :)
Just a small psychological story.
Please tell me what you think! And please, as always, enjoy ^_^
